What a year 2016 has been...wow. What started off a few years ago as a hobby turned business has grown into something really special. We owe it all to you, our loyal customers and friends. Thank you!
2016 saw our business kicking into high gear. Chandeliers, home decor, and artwork grew tremendously. This huge blessing came with lots of excitement and even a few challenges. Online orders, boxing, shipping, creating (quickly). We leaned on the age old philosophy of "focus on the customer" and everything will work out for the best...and it did. We have connected with amazing employees, customers, and partners that made 2016 great.
As our business grew we started to seek out a new space and set up a retail storefront in Holliston, MA. Our autumn was a blur as we pushed hard for our opening November 2. We did it...we opened by our goal date...and the reception and support has been nothing short of spectacular. The town, surrounding communities, friends, new colleagues, and business partners have supported us tremendously.
November was a whirlwind and so much fun. We were very fortunate to have been featured on Chronicle - Channel 5 Boston. Pete somehow snuck in a cameo role opening a box (it was his goal to get on tv). Holliston had a town stroll the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Hundreds upon hundreds of people came through the store to say hi and support our business...what a great community.
A Coat Drive for Worcester's homeless was launched in December. Our 50 coat goal was smashed with 78 coats (plus hats, gloves, scarves, and boots). The outpouring of compassion really touched us. I wish everyone could feel the joy of delivering 78 coats to Main St in Worcester before a major snowstorm and we experienced this because of you. As my son, Kevin, stated as we drove off "that felt really good". Yes it did. Thank you community. Extra special thanks to Holliston Boy Scout Troop 47 for launching a coat drive to support the effort.
We cannot thank you enough and look forward to an amazing 2017. Thank you across America for our online business support and thank you to our local community in MetroWest Massachusetts. Happy New Year!
With Deep Gratitude,
Sue and Pete
